Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program

About

We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join us as mentors as we strongly believe in the power of mentorship and collaboration to make a positive impact in our community.

Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program partners with 55 public schools in Southeast Michigan, and provides group mentor sessions once a month for one hour during the school year (one class period at an assigned school). The mentors, usually two (2) per school group, provide sessions that are empowering and interesting to the mentees, and range in topics such as career exploration, interviewing skills, financial literacy, conflict resolution, health and wellness, and more. Mentors help students navigate from adolescence to young adulthood; stay in school, graduate, and gain practical skills for life success.

If you are under the age of 25, please see our Junior Mentor volunteer opportunity!

About the Organization

Women of Tomorrow engages highly accomplished professional women as mentors in small group settings to inspire, empower and transform the lives of at-risk high school girls, making a positive impact on their lives and that of their families and the community-at-large.

Our group mentoring program is specifically designed to meet the needs of at-risk teenage girls in our nation’s public high schools. It empowers and inspires them to turn their obstacles into opportunities by providing the exposure, motivation and confidence to create a better future for themselves, their families, and society.
