About

In this role you will:

  • Attend programming and events and take photo and video, create stories, and curate posts for The Ability Center's (TAC) Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages.
  • Interview program attendees
  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Interview program attendees and community members
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly marketing goals and assignments
  • Use your creativity to curate content for blogs, infographics, TAC's website, and social media
  • Support marketing team at live events and programming
  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
  • Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
  • Write social media captions and/or blog posts
  • Help create and edit short-form videos
  • Develop and contribute to new strategies for increasing engagement
  • Assist with photo/video content shoots
  • Upload videos for the TAC team to use in marketing materials

If you are interested in this role we can work out a schedule that works for you. Ideally you would be available to attend one event/program per week. The commitment would be about 1-3 hours depending on where you live, your skill level, and the assignment.

Skills that will help you be successful:

  • Familiarity with social media apps and platforms
  • Proficient in using in Google Drive and/or Dropbox
  • Clear communication with TAC team members
  • Energetic and extroverted personality
  • Able to follow through with directions and stay on schedule with little supervision

This is a great role for a high school or college student (or recent grad!) looking to gain experience and volunteer for a great cause! This is a unique volunteer position where you can bring your creative ideas to life!

  • Orientation or Training
  • Time Commitment:2-4 hours weekly or approx. up to 12 hours per month; This can be a short-term commitment, however our goal is to find someone interested in participating regularly with us.
  • Other Requirements:smartphone and quality internet access
  • Minimum Age:17
